Cambridge Uni’s Senate House “redecorated” for graduations

HIT REPORT

Ahead of today’s university graduation, activists redecorated Cambridge University Senate House in response to fossil fuel industry report.

This week, a report commissioned by the uni has recommended that the University of Cambridge cut its ties with oil companies. It also revealed that a uni committee has declared oilfield company Schlumberger to be out of line with climate targets – but despite this, they still occupy a massive site on the the uni’s land.

Slow clap for this cutting edge institution finally catching up to what we all already know: fossil fuels are killing and displacing people now, and this will only get worse.

Will the uni do the right thing, or will this report gather dust in some wood-panelled office? How much more pressure do they need 👀
